My Retirement Project
46 Months and Counting!
Check it out...this site is #1 out of 3,170,000 hits on Google!..(3.13.11)

I graduated high school with a 4.0.  Went on to college and ended up with a degree that went into storage.   I went to two schools teaching dental technology and spent some time in the Marine Corps.  I got a job and in a couple of years I opened my own laboratory which I ran for 27 years.  I was doing so well, I was dreaming of yachts and helicopters and the like.  I thought more about toys than retirement during those years.  Then, I was lured into the corporate world.  That is when I first started thinking about retirement and started doing something about it.  Flash forward six years.  I was employee #6 in the company.  We built up to an IPO and stock sold at $18 a share.  The company had $62 million in cash!  The board of directors hired what they thought was the holy grail of all CEOs.  In reality, he was a corporate raider.  He and two of his friends from former companies  destroyed the company.  It was sold to a foreign company for 2 million.  I, along with all the employees were on our own.  Then, I discovered, in continuing on with his plan, that the bleeping idiot became the CEO of a new U.S. subsidiary of the foreign company that made the 2M deal!...and took his two buddies along for the ride......What's up with that?

The plan was to continue to work for a few more years.  I thought about the future and whether, at my age, I needed to keep working in a conventional manner after 43 years of employment?  Answer:  Absolutely not!   I like what I'm doing and don't want to cut back on anything. So, here I am, collecting Social Security and wondering how the hell I got here so fast and what I'm going to do about it.  That is the premise of this site.

I immediately began studying Internet marketing and it's a lot more complicated than I thought.  I've spent a lot of money on courses, some good, some a ripoff!   If you want to check out one of my "paying" sites click here. I am now beginning to see more light at the end of the tunnel and for a  pleasant change, it's not a train headlight!

This website serves as the base for my efforts.  The blog, "Journey" has morphed into "Boomersjourney" for 2011.

This is your invitation to join me as I work toward an even more comfortable retirement.  You can bookmark this page and check it out now and then, OR NOT!  How will you feel if you come back here and I have notified everyone that I've reached my goal and you weren't along for the ride?

I've made it for 46 months and am still hanging in there...so the question is:  Are you ready?.....I'm pulling for ya......we're all in this together............
